Karawang - PT. Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN) today received a visit from the Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia Ida Fauziyah at the Karawang 1 TMMIN Plants located in the KIIC Industrial area - Karawang, West Java. During her visit, the Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah had the opportunity to review vocational programs and facilities as well as other Human Resources (HR) development at TMMIN.
TMMIN always tries to provide full support to government policies, especially the development of the quality of human resources through apprenticeship facilities that are spread across production lines and businesses. Since 2017, Toyota Indonesia has bridged 850 participants in developing soft skills and hard skills to get a Professional Certification Institute (LSP) certification from Toyota that has a Professional Professional Certification Agency (BNSP) standard. This apprenticeship is divided into 13 batches with direct guidance from mentors who already have national and global standard certifications. Of the total 850 apprentices, 70% or 582 people are Karawang citizen, as a form of Toyota's active role to contribute to the surrounding community.
LSP TMMIN tested the automotive manufacturing competency scheme enriched with 56 trainers, 89 BNSP certified assessors. LSP TMMIN also has a Competency Test Site (TUK) that is spread both at the TMMIN Learning Center, which is a training and education center for employees and vocational program participants, as well as at work locations as part of field practice. From 2017 to July 2019, more than 1,400 employees and vocational students at TMMIN have achieved certification in 66 competency schemes.
TMMIN is determined to participate in the formation of a strong synergy between the Government and industry, which is an important key in vocational education programs. Therefore, TMMIN presents training facilities that apply the latest technology and curriculum development that refers to industrial development in the hope that it can help accelerate the creation of an ecosystem that supports the formation of quality human resources. Thus the link and match can scroll faster.
