Toyota together building Indonesia Through BLK Bantaeng

On Monday, May 9, 2016, Toyota attending the inauguration of BLK Bantaeng, South Sulawesi. BLK that built on an area of 15 hectares, was inaugurated by Mohammed Hanif Dhakiri as the Minister of Labour of the Republic of Indonesia. Toyota also participated in training activities of Human Resources (HR) that conducted by BLK Bantaeng. Ehime Toyota Motor Corporation along with Haji Kalla will soon conduct training on BLK to 16 people for 2 years, plus USD 100,000 to be invested for the procurement of training tools. TMMIN will also provide three engines for the practical tool that is planned to be awarded on August 17, 2016.

The fact is, Indonesia has many talented and skilled HR, but doesn't get the education that can sharpen it because of certain limitations, such as the employment of graduates from Elementary School (SD) and Junior High School (SMP) with an ages of more than 18 years old that can not enter vocational schools (SMK). Vocational education such as BLK has becoming a key issue here. This thing becomes the spirit of Toyota to continue to help Indonesia build the nation together to develop superior quality human resources to participate in providing training in the field of automotive industry. Toyota strives to improve the quality and skills of human resources, so that they can be competitive and able to increase industry in Indonesia.

"If you have an ugly face but want to compete on getting pretty girl, then you must have killer seduction... it's called competitiveness," says Minister of Labour, Muhammad Hanif Dhakiri, in a speech that motivates the effort to increase competitiveness for HR in Bantaeng. This expression becomes a parable that HR actually should have a human resource competitiveness by improving the capability and quality of self through training provided by the BLK. The benchmark for the BLK to success is the placement of graduates in the industrialized world. Great hopes with the cooperation between the industry and the government may increase the rate of employment in regions throughout Indonesia.
