Toyota support the humanitarian activities through PMI

JAKARTA - Toyota Indonesia handed over a donation of 400 million rupiah to support the humanitarian activities through the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI). The donation was handed over by the Vice President Director of TAM Henry Tanoto and TMMIN Vice President, Warih Andang Tjahjono to the Chairman of the Board of PMI ,Ginandjar Kartasasmita at PMI Headquarters on Gatot Subroto, Jakarta.

We are aware that the value of aid is still far away from the needs of the PMI, but we hope that this contribution can help to smooth the operation of PMI both emergency and operational. Toyota is also ready to help PMI to face the obstacles that is unexpected, such as natural disasters, "said Vice President TMMIN Warih Andang Tjahjono on the donation ceremony.

Toyota Indonesia has been working closely with the PMI since 1977 through the delivery of 40 units first generation of Kijang that just begin to produced by Toyota Indonesia. Over the years the cooperation continues to run either through blood donation from Toyota employee to PMI, donation tools for supporting the operations of PMI such as ambulances, boats, and water tank trucks, as well as donations for emergency package for victims of natural disasters such as the tsunami in Aceh , the Yogyakarta earthquake, volcanic eruption such as Merapi, and flash floods in Sinabung.

The Involvement in various social activities in Indonesia is becoming the duty of the Toyota. Because the presence of Toyota is expected to make a meaningful contribution to the welfare of society and the environment.
