Wednesday, October 12, 2016 - PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN) has been awarded the prestigious Primaniyarta Award 2016 from the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, the 7th time in the Performing Exporters category. Primaniyarta 2016 was handed over directly by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Joko Widodo who was accompanied by the Minister of Trade, Mr. Enggartiasto Lukita to TMMIN's Senior Director, Mr. Edward Otto Kanter at the opening of Trade Expo 2016 located at Jakarta International Expo (JIEXPO) Kemayoran, Jakarta.
Primaniyarta has been achieved by TMMIN since 2008, 2010, 2011 and has received 4 consecutive times since 2013 until 2016. Primaniyarta award is the highest award given by the Government of Indonesia to the exporters who are considered as the most accomplished in the field of exports and can become a role model for exporters other.
TMMIN is the only vehicle manufacturer to win Primaniyarta award this year and succeeded in increasing the export variant of Toyota branded vehicles from 8 models consisting of Kijang Innova, Fortuner, Vios, Yaris, Avanza, Rush, Town / Lite Ace, and Agya. Plus the Toyota Sienta as the 9th model that is been exported to several countries in Asia.
Throughout 2016 through September, TMMIN has recorded 123,700 CBU exports, 34,500 CKD units, more than 90,300 units of petrol engine, more than 16,200 units of ethanol engine, and 64.7 million vehicles component. These export products are shipped to more than 80 countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, Pacific and Middle East.
To support and strengthen the domestic auto industry, TMMIN strives to localize the product or increase local content. Toyota products such as Kijang Innova have local content up to 85%, Sienta 80%, Fortuner 75%. While Vios, Yaris, Etios Valco has a local content of 60%.
The addition of products and the presence of new machinery factory in Karawang is the realization of Toyota's commitment to continue to grow with the people of Indonesia as well as active role in the development of the national automotive industry.
