Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN) celebrated the first batch graduation of Toyota Indonesia Academy (TIA) with honors Diploma 1 (D1) Department of Mechanical Maintenance Engineering Automation as many as 32 students.Graduation ceremony was held in the Employee Center TMMIN Karawang Plant 3.
The Ceremony was attended by Coordinator Kopertis (Private College Coordinator) Region IV West Java, Prof. Dr. Ir. Hakim Abdul Halim, M.Sc and Polman Bandung Deputy Director Dr. Ing. Yuliardi Erdani, M.SC which was accompanied by a number of TMMIN management and Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) - Japan. The 32 graduates of TIA got a certificate and a medal given by Masahiro Nonami as the Chairman of the Foundation Board of Trustees and Afien Wibhawa as Director of TIA.
During 1 year and 3 months education program, the students got a total of 40 credits of education curriculum. The lesson consists of 20% of general knowledge, 20% industrial culture and 60% practice skills. Those lessons can be used later to face the competition of human resources development in Indonesia.
"It is our endeavor to encourage the competitiveness of Indonesia's automotive industry continuously. Hope TIA can be a standard automotive engineering education in Indonesia," said Masahiro Nonami, Chairman of the Foundation Toyota Indonesia, in his speech.
TMMIN has a commitment to always participate in the development of human resources in Indonesia. Therefore for the next action, TMMIN will add one program of study, practice tools, increasing the number of students to 64 people and expand TIA facilities.
